MeetingMath uses simple deterministic formulas. Inputs are assumptions, not facts verified by the site.

Single meeting cost

Cost = attendees × meeting hours × average hourly cost × overhead multiplier.

Recurring meeting cost

Annual cost = single-meeting cost × meetings per week × active weeks per year. Average monthly cost = annual cost ÷ 12.

Salary to hourly

Base hourly rate = annual compensation ÷ working weeks per year ÷ working hours per week. Loaded hourly cost = base hourly rate × overhead multiplier.

Async savings

Annual savings = current annual recurring meeting cost − estimated annual async replacement cost. Percent reduction = savings ÷ current annual cost.

Rounding

Internal formulas round displayed money and person-hours to two decimal places where needed. Displayed large dollar values may be formatted without cents for readability.

Limitations

• Loaded cost multipliers vary by company and role.
• Meeting value is not measured here.
• Some meetings are necessary for alignment, decisions, safety, compliance, or trust.
